Center for All Abilities seeks to serve individuals with special needs and their families through creative, educational and spiritual enrichment in a faith-guided environment.
Project A’s mission is to provide specialized education for neurodiverse individuals, teaching valuable skills that will prepare them to work within the fashion and retail industry. From sewing and garment construction, to sales and customer service, Project A plans to develop different pathways that will lead to meaningful employment throughout social-impact womenswear brand Alivia, its partnering organization, and other brands in the future.
Volunteers who can operate a sewing machine and are passionate about Project A's mission are needed to teach sewing skills and provide 1:1 guidance to our program participants in a small group setting.
Time: The program meets in-person every Friday in two shifts, from 1-3pm and 3-5pm, at our office in Chinatown. Volunteers are welcome to join either or both shifts.
Length of service: Volunteers who can commit to serving long-term (at least half a year) are preferred.
