A Year in Review

As we look back on 2008, we have so much reason to celebrate!  Because of the faithfulness of our volunteers and donors, Hope for New York has been able to serve more people in need this year than ever before!  Thank you to everyone who has supported us with your time and financial resources.  Our service to the city is in no way possible without you.

This past year we welcomed three new affiliate organizations to our network, increased our grant distribution 30% to $683,942, received over 2,000 toy donations for our His Toy Store and Angel Tree Christmas programs, and celebrated breaking the $1 million mark in volunteer time value.*  We are entirely grateful to be in a position heading into 2009 to actually increase our impact in serving the poor and marginalized.

Even as we celebrate what has happened in 2008, we look forward to what will happen in 2009!  We will depend more on our volunteers and supporters in the coming year than we have at any point in the past to meet the emerging needs in New York City, and are confident that we will, together, be able to do it!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,

-The Hope for New York Team
