Christmas Volunteer Opportunities
Hope for New York currently provides volunteer opportunities for attendees of our three partner churches: Redeemer Presbyterian, Apostles and Trinity Baptist.
If you do not attend one of those partner churches, please directly contact the organization listed below to volunteer. When you register to volunteer below, please indicate which of our partner churches you attend.
All Angels' // Wellness Cafe Christmas Party on UWS Help serve food & drinks, pass out Christmas gifts and spend time building relationships with those who are homeless or marginally housed. It will be a fun, festive evening of celebration! Tuesday, December 17, 5:30PM to 9:00PM. RSVP HERE
Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter // Serve a Christmas Meal on UES Volunteers will help set up for the Christmas party, serve a meal and clean up. This takes place on Christmas day, December 25, from 1:30PM to 5:30PM. 4 Volunteers needed, RSVP HERE
St. Paul’s House // Christmas Party for the Homeless This Christmas season help St. Paul's House serve a Christmas meal and celebrate with approximately 30 homeless men. Set up, decorate, serve a delicious meal, and clean up on the day of the event. Tuesday, December 17, 5:30PM to 9:00PM. RSVP HERE
Bowery Mission Transitional Center // Help Prepare for Christmas
Help decorate a Christmas Tree, stuff Christmas stockings with gifts, wrap gifts, write cards, and get the BMTC ready with Christmas Spirit. Wed, 12/18, Thurs, 12/19, or Fri, 12/20 from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Click on the dates to RSVP
Living Waters // Christmas Dinner in Brooklyn Help serve dinner, clean up and celebrate Christmas with the Living Waters community in Bushwick. Wednesday, December 18, 5:45 to 9:00PM RSVP HERE
Capernaum // Throw Christmas Party for Youth with Special Needs 4-5 male volunteers are needed to help with Christmas-themed activities for a group of local high schoolers with special needs at All Angels' Church on the UWS. Graffiti // Community Christmas Party (Family Friendly) Throw the Alphabet City community a festive and family-friendly Christmas party. Help set up and manage areas of activity like face painting, craft tables, and distributing toys. Thursday, December 19 from 6:00 to 7:00PM. REGISTRATION IS FULL
The Salvation Army // Christmas Outreach Volunteers are needed to help set up and decorate The Salvation Army church on Thursday, December 19 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM to help prepare for their Christmas outreach, or help distribute toys and food on Friday, December 20 from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. YoungLives // Christmas Club Female volunteers (only) are needed to help with set up, lead activities, engage with young mothers and their children, and clean up at this special Christmas club night.

World Vision // Distribute Toys at Christmas Celebration Serve with World Vision to throw a Christmas party at an after school program in the Bronx! DeWitt Nursing Home // Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Caroling (Family Friendly) Sing hymns, read scripture and spend time with residents who will be spending Christmas at DeWitt Nursing Home on UES.
