Graffiti

For over 20 years, Graffiti has been ministering to the community in Alphabet City on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. HFNY volunteers help Graffiti lead youth on Wednesday evenings, attend monthly youth outings around New York City, tutor children and youth and celebrate Christianity through the Arts and the Apologetics Cafe.

WORK WITH YOUTH
After School Program - Help tutor and mentor youth and children, organize games/activities and participate in Bible study. Dates/Times: Monday through Thursday, 2:30PM-6:00PM. (flexible commitment: 1 day/week or as available) For more information, contact
Monthly Youth Outings - Build relationships with youth from the LES through monthly activities/outings. Events include trips around NYC and are scheduled from 12PM-4PM on the last Sunday of the month. Preferred commitment is once a month for 6 months. For more information, contact
Wed Evening Youth Group (“Connections”) - Help lead activity of your choice (arts, sports, games, etc) during extended Wednesday evening program for youth from 7PM-8PM and join for dinner and fellowship from 6PM-7PM if your schedule allows. APOLOGETICS CAFE
Participate in neighborhood outreach through evening of live music, free coffee and dessert, and brief apologetic followed by Q&A. Volunteers needed every Friday night from 6:30PM-9PM and 9PM-11:30PM. Bring bake goods; help set up tables, décor, and coffee station; help serve, greet and participate in Q&A; help break down at the end of the night. Flexible commitment: once a month or as available. OTHER
