Serve Young Adults in Long-term Shelter at Christmas Dinner

About this Opportunity
Louis Nine House, a location of Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter located in the Bronx, has 46 studio apartments for young adults who are homeless or aged-out of the foster care system. The residence provides affordable housing and an integrated continuum of support services designed to help young adults, aged 18-25, achieve stability, maintain sobriety, and work toward the self-sufficiency needed to obtain and sustain permanent housing and independent lives. 

Volunteers will assist with various areas of service for Christmas event. Volunteers will:
  1. Lead and oversee activities for residents, i.e. karaoke, group games, crafts, etc.
  2. Set up and serve the meal to 46 residents
  3. Spend time getting to know residents during meal
  4. Clean up after meal and activities
*Volunteers must be 18 or older to serve. You will need to complete an application form before serving.
