NYC Rescue Mission - Logo

Founded in 1872, the New York City Rescue Mission (NYCRM) was America's first rescue mission. The purpose of the mission has been the same for 130 years: to provide spiritual hope, food, clothing and shelter to the destitute who arrive on their doorstep. The Mission provides job training, GED and education classes, drug recovery, casework services, computer skill training, and more.  Volunteers can help lead a monthly worship service, prepare meals, help in the computer lab, provide tutoring, and distribute groceries through the food pantry.
