The Open Door empowers immigrants to reach their full God given potential to successfully integrate, participate and contribute to the well being of our society. Its vision is a new community of diverse individuals heading homes participating and thriving in the English-speaking economic mainstream as a model of community development.

Why We Love This Affiliate
Only 1 out of 10 immigrants connects with a Christian when they move to the U.S. We love seeing our volunteers befriend the marginalized by sharing life with them, helping to equip them, and praying for them.

In just one year, more than 130,000 migrants have arrived in New York City to seek asylum. Many have traveled for miles and for months from South America, specifically Venezuela, to the United States.
In 2021, a milestone year that celebrated 25 years of His Toy Store, we distributed $155,000 to 29 affiliate partners so they could bring holiday joy to 15,000 New Yorkers in need.
