Celebrating Stories of Hope this Easter

April 08, 2014

This Easter, as we're celebrating the victory of Christ’s renewal over brokenness, we’re also celebrating the work of transformation and healing He's done through our affiliate partners this year.

Every year on Easter Sunday, clients from our affiliate non-profits share their stories of hope and renewal during services at Redeemer Presbyterian Church.

We wanted to give you just a sampling of what we're hearing from these clients as they prepare to speak — we think you'll be encouraged! Find more stories here.

"Today, I am able to speak and lead from experience, unafraid, believing that God can make something positive out of what seems to be the worst possible situation." Vianeli, Former Mentee, Operation Exodus Inner City

"After joining the NYC Rescue Mission, I started seeing exactly how great our God is through the lives of others around me. I started to see that no matter what a person had gone through, God had the ability to forgive." Ronald, Student, NYC Rescue Mission

"I have so much hope that, even though we live in a broken world, God is restoring it, renewing everything and completely erasing sin. He’s restoring and renewing me day by day, and that’s a hope worth sharing this Easter." Bucky, Client, Open Hands Legal Services

Want to be part of even more stories of hope this year? When you make a gift to Hope for New York this Easter, 100% of it will be given to Hope for New York affiliate organizations that support various New York City populations including at-risk youth, low-income families, immigrants, the homeless, and the elderly.
