2026 TCS NYC Marathon
Join Team HFNY to run the largest marathon in the world on Sunday, November 1! Run 26.2 miles across all five boroughs while also fundraising to support New Yorkers in need.
Celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Five-Borough Marathon Course
New York Road Runners (NYRR), the nonprofit that “runs” New York City, is honoring the 50th anniversary of its five-borough New York City Marathon course. First run as a five-borough race in 1976 to celebrate the nation’s Bicentennial and uplift the city, the New York City Marathon set the standard for the modern marathon and is now the world’s largest, bringing together nearly 60,000 runners to experience the transformative power of running every first Sunday of November.
About Hope For New York
We are a Coalition of compassionate New Yorkers dedicated to the flourishing of our city. For 30+ years, we have provided tangible hope across all five boroughs.
For a sixth year, Hope For New York has been chosen as an official charity partner of the TCS NYC Marathon. When runners represent us and fundraise on our behalf, they are raising awareness for the needs of our city and for the 80+ nonprofit partners serving these needs. Funds will provide ongoing financial support, leadership training workshops, and more resources for nonprofits serving vulnerable and marginalized communities.
How to Join Team HFNY in 2026
Our application to join Team HFNY is coming soon! We have a limited (15) spots, so when our application form is open, please apply as early as possible.
Submitting the application does not automatically guarantee placement, but we will maintain a waitlist if spots fill up and submissions exceed available spots. We will contact applicants on the waitlist if spots open up.
Already registered for the Marathon but want to fundraise on our behalf? Email marathon@hfny.org.
3 Things to Know Before You Apply
1. Each runner must commit to fundraising $5,000. In choosing to run with us as an Official Charity Partner, each runner must be prepared and committed to fundraising a minimum of $5,000.
2. Each runner must create a fundraising page. After acceptances have been confirmed, applicants chosen to represent Team HFNY will need to sign our fundraising agreement and register as an HFNY runner. Then, each runner creates a fundraising page to share with friends, family, and colleagues and track the fundraising progress.
3. Each runner will be connected to our community. Our staff will provide ways for runners to connect as a group online (WhatsApp) and in person (orientation, training runs, pre-event meal). Plus, all runners will receive branded swag, including a marathon t-shirt.
