The Bowery Mission

Bowery Logo

The Bowery Mission services include both compassionate care (meals, showers, clothes, pantry) and a Christ-centered residential recovery program for men. Participants are offered individual and group counseling, computer-based career preparation and job readiness training, as well as a structured Bible study curriculum.

In 2012, the Bowery Mission began a historic drive to take its life-changing services to additional neighborhoods in NYC. They expanded their men's recovery program to East Harlem, and they hope that this new center will become a hub for other services to a community in deep need.

  • Serve a meal to the Bowery Mission guests on Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM
  • Volunteer with a resume-writing workshop and help Bowery participants prepare for their job search in the Career Center on Mondays from 7-9PM
  • Saturday Outreach to the community at Tompkins Square Park in the East Village from 8:00AM to 10:30AM
