Project FIND Hamilton // Serve Lunch & Build Relationships with UWS Seniors Volunteers can join the fun of Scrabble, Jenga and Trouble during Game Night for Hamilton Senior Center residents on Wednesday nights from 5PM - 6PM. Great way to build relationships with our senior neighbors. RSVP for July 23. Volunteers are also needed to serve lunch for residents and local senior community on Sundays from 11:30AM to 1:30PM. St. Paul's House // Serve Breakfast to Midtown West Community in Need On Friday mornings, help serve breakfast and build relationships with guests who are homeless or marginally housed and attending the daily gospel service & breakfast. 7AM - 9AM. Great for early risers! RSVP for 7/25 or 8/1
Defy Ventures // Judge Entrepreneurial Product Competition Calling all volunteers with executive/entrepreneur/investor experience! Come listen to pitches, sample drinks and purchase your favorite mocktail in this test of creative product development and salesmanship for the Team 4 Entrepreneurs-in-Training, a carefully selected group of men and women with past criminal histories. Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter // Serve High Tea to UES Residents 4 volunteers will have the opportunity to build relationships with residents who are formerly or chronically homeless by playing bingo games together and preparing/serving lunch, high tea and desserts. NYC Relief // Provide Relief to those on the Street Join the NYC Relief Bus to connect the homeless and people in need with food and resources. Volunteers will serve soup and drinks, pray for homeless guests, and distribute resources. Near Port Authority on July 26 from 8PM to 10PM. Click on the date to RSVP.
Bowery Mission Women's Center // Cook Dinner for Women in Recovery 6 to 8 female volunteers will cook and serve a delicious dinner at their UES residence for women seeking recovery and new life beginnings. Supplies are provided. Excellent opportunity for a weekend girls' night out with a social justice twist! Saturday, July 26 from 3:30 to 7:30PM or Sunday, July 27 from 2:30 to 6:30PM. Gifted Hands // Share Your Art with Residents at HIV/AIDS Facility Volunteers will make jewelry, lead hand-choreography classes, and share their crafts or music with bedridden residents at Rivington House in LES. Bowery Mission // Serve Dinner to the Homeless Community Up to 10 people will prepare and serve dinner on Wednesday July 30 or August 6 from 5:30PM to 7:30PM. Once known as a soup kitchen, The Bowery Mission is sometimes referred to as the busiest "restaurant" in NYC, serving more than 900 meals per day to homeless and low-income men, women and children. World Vision // Pack and Sort Donated Items Help sort, package, and prepare donated items for distribution to World Visions' community partners in the South Bronx. Saturday, August 2 from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. RSVP HERE.

Defy Ventures // Refine Resumes for Formerly Incarcerated Volunteers with executive/entrepreneur/investor experience will receive up to 5 resumes and leadership statements electronically to edit and refine for the Team 4 Entrepreneurs-in-Training, a carefully selected group of men and women with past criminal histories. All Angels // Special Evening Meal Service 20 Volunteers are needed to set up tables, serve a meal and clean up afterward at this special Sunday evening meal service which will combine both morning and evening congregations, homeless guests and homed, to celebrate their Community Minister Iana Ryan. Living Waters Fellowship // Teach ESL to Adult Students Volunteers are needed to teach ESL to mostly Spanish-speaking adult students in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Back on My Feet // Love to Run? This early morning running program uses running to help create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. NYC Rescue Mission // Offer Hospitality to Homeless Women NYC Rescue Mission is opening up a women's shelter this summer. Female volunteers are needed for two hour shifts between 5:00PM to 9:00PM, any evening during the week to offer hospitality.
