- graphic designer to design a brochure/promotional materials
- accountant with a knowledge of Quickbooks
- event planners and those who love to host
- licensed and insured contractor who can help repair a staircase
- lawyers to serve at legal aid desks
- doctors, including dermatologists and podiatrists, to serve the homeless at a free medical clinic
The Bridge // Support Men and Women Living with Mental Illnesses Are you crafty? Do you like to cook? Enjoy planning fun outings? Come volunteer to plan and lead activities for a fun-loving group of residents at 103rd and CPW. Events happen every other Saturday. Email to learn more.
New York City Relief Bus // Connect with the Homeless (Bronx, Harlem, Port Authority) NYC Relief uses mobile buses to provide food, counseling, spiritual help and resources to communities in need. Bowery Mission Women's Center // Do you Love to Cook? Female volunteers are needed to prepare, cook, and serve a delicious dinner for the female residents of The Bowery Mission Women's Center. The volunteer team leader will plan the menu and have the groceries ready for the evening. RSVP:

World Vision & A House on Beekman // Help with Easter Outreach Volunteers are needed to provide help with concessions, games, face-painting, clean up and all sorts of Easter fun at huge community outreach to 2,000+ kids and families in the Bronx. Saturday, April 19 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM. RSVP HERE.
Chinese Christian Herald // Provide Childcare for Autism Support Group Up to 15 volunteers needed to lead activities and play with kids during autism support group for immigrant parents. Great group opportunity! Saturday, April 19 from 1-4PM. Contact to serve.
The Bowery Mission // Serve Dinner to Community A co-ed group of 6-10 people are needed to serve dinner at the Bowery Mission at 227 Bowery on Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Great group opportunity! Contact
St. Paul’s House // Help Pack the Pantry On Monday evenings, come help restock the pantry and pack bags of food that are distributed to the homeless community in Midtown West. 7:00PM to 8:30PM. RSVP HERE.
World Vision // Pack and Sort Donated Items Organize donated items for distribution to the community at World Vision's Bronx storehouse. Saturday May 3 from 10AM-2PM. RSVP HERE.
Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter // Serve tea, bake desserts & play games with residents who are formerly or chronically homeless at NCS on the UES. Saturday, April 12 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. RSVP Here.
Bowery Mission Transitional Center // Help Lead Activity Nights or Bible Study Male volunteers are needed to lead Activity Nights (outings) or Bible Study for men transitioning out of homelessness. This is a great opportunity to make friendships with and encourage men who are in transition. Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Contact Ebi for more information at
Graffiti // Serve Community Connections Dinner Up to 15 volunteers needed to serve dinner and build relationships with the community that attend weekly Connections meal service and bible study. Last Wednesday of the month from 5:30-7:30PM. Great community group opportunity! RSVP here for April 30.
St. Paul's House // Friday Morning Breakfast & Gospel Service Every Friday morning from 7:00AM to 9:00AM volunteers are needed to help prep & serve a breakfast, interact with homeless attendees and clean up. Are you a morning person? Consider serving before work! RSVP for upcoming Friday's HERE.
HFNY Pilot Program // Love to Run? Various locations from 5:30AM to 6:30AM (M/W/F). This early morning running program uses running to help create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness. Email to learn more.
HFNY Pilot Program // Tutor Students in SoHA Volunteer to tutor 6th-12th grade students from three local schools in South Harlem on weeknights or Saturdays for 1.25 hour sessions. Attend volunteer orientation on Tuesday, April 29 at 6:15PM to learn more and get started. Contact for more info.
HFNY Pilot Program // Deliver Meals to Homebound Elderly Up to 20 volunteers needed to hand deliver on foot meals to UWS elderly who can no longer buy groceries or cook for themselves. Great community group opportunity! Sunday, May 11 or May 18 from 9:30AM-12:00PM. RSVP Here to serve!
Project FIND // Serve Seniors Every 4th Sunday Volunteers are needed to regularly serve at lunch service at Hamilton Senior Center on the 4th Sunday of the month. Great community group opportunity for WS! RSVP here for April 27.
Chinese Christian Herald // Serve Immigrant Families at Special Olympics Up to 30 volunteers are needed to help facilities races, games, and other activities. Major’s Minors // Coach & Mentor Youth in Brooklyn Coach baseball club players during weekly Saturday practices, and mentor players off the field one-on-one to help develop life skills and encourage spiritual growth. Season runs from May-July. Contact for more info.
