Project FIND Hamilton // Serve Community of Seniors in UWS Join volunteers in serving lunch and spending time with seniors playing games, making a craft, or just engaging in conversation at Hamilton Senior Center. BAAFC // Assist in Basic Computer Class for Immigrants Volunteer teachers are needed to help supervise and assist arab-american community members in learning basic computer skills, such as typing and keyboard shortcuts. Saturdays from 10AM-12PM. Contact for more information.

Bowery Mission Transitional Center // Help Lead Activity Nights or Bible Study Male volunteers are needed to lead Activity Nights (outings) or Bible Study for men transitioning out of homelessness. Brooklyn Jubilee // Legal Ministry Volunteer Training Brooklyn Jubilee provides free legal advice to the clients of several food pantries and soup kitchens. You do NOT have to be an attorney to volunteer with our legal ministry (though attorneys are welcome as well) but you DO have to attend a training session. Saturday, March 15 at 9AM. Info HERE.
Isaiah 58 // Lead Worship for Bailey-Holt House Residents Volunteers are needed to join the worship band, and build relationships with residents at the residence. Independent soloists can also volunteer during services. Every 4th Sunday of the month from 2-4PM. Contact Steph at for more info.
Graffiti // Serve Community Connections Dinner Up to 15 volunteers needed to serve dinner and build relationships with the community that attend weekly Connections. Last Wednesday of the month from 5:30-7:30PM. Great community group opportunity! RSVP here for March 26.
A House on Beekman // Free on weekday mornings? Assist with the new preschool programming - Introduction to Preschool and Cooperative Play & Skill Building - for children 0-4 years old in the South Bronx. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 10AM-12PM. CCHC // Coach Volleyball for Youth from Immigrant Families Play volleyball (no coaching experience required!), and lead small group sessions in order to be a role model for high school students participating. Pilot Program: Deliver meals to homebound elderly in UWS Up to 10 volunteer spots available for Sunday, March 16 from 9:30AM-12PM. Help pilot a new program to hand deliver meals on foot to elderly neighbors who can’t cook or buy groceries on their own. Great opp for families or groups.
Brooklyn Jubilee // Serve Meal to Brownsville Community Prepare, cook, and serve a healthy, diabetic-friendly meal with Brooklyn Jubilee in Brownsville and help the community learn how they can have access to nutritious food in their neighborhood. Saturday, March 22. Email to sign up.

Operation Exodus // Mentor Students & Lead Programs on Saturdays Join mentors in leading classroom activities during Saturday programming for Washington Heights neighborhood kids ages K - 8th grade. Saturdays from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. Contact for more information and to sign up.
Try Something New // HFNY Pilot Programs Every year, we ask volunteers who aren't afraid of a little trailblazing to try out potential new volunteer opportunities. These "pilot programs" are a chance for us to evaluate a potential new affiliate partnership and for our volunteers to serve a population that Hope for New York has yet to reach. Email to learn more!
- Running Program Various locations from 5:30AM to 6:30AM (M/W/F). This early morning running program uses running to help create self-sufficiency in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.
- Afterschool and Saturday Tutoring Help 6-12th graders in Harlem improve their grades and learn core concepts in math and English. Serve at 1-hour session on M-F between 3:30-7:15PM or Saturdays between 10:45AM-4:00PM. Attend a volunteer orientation on Thursday, March 13 at 6:15PM to learn more. Contact for details.
