Hope for New York

Young Life in the New York metro area is a new and growing ministry.  Young Life seeks to transform lives by generating sincere friendships with teenagers and providing them weekly events, first-class adventures and experiences where they can relax, laugh, hear the Gospel presented in a compelling way. Students also learn the skills, assets, and attitudes that will help them reach their God-given potential in life.

Volunteer Opportunties

Mentor High School Students - Young Life is looking for mentors for the 2012/2013 school year! Walk alongside non-Christian youth to build relationships and earn the right to share the Gospel of Christ. This entails spending consistent time with kids individually and attending weekly club outreach events and leadership team meetings. Various locations throughout the city - including Upper East Side, Union Square, Washington Heights, Harlem, Red Hook, and more. Time frame ranges from 4pm - 9pm on weeknights. Starting October 4, 2012, there will be a special training for Young Life leaders and prospective volunteers on Thursdays from 7-9PM at the Young Life office in Midtown West. to learn more and RSVP, please email Chase at .

Additional Young Life programs

YoungLives - Serve teens in Harlem who are expecting or are raising a child on their own. Treating each mom and her child or children with unconditional love and respect, YoungLives offers teen moms relief from the isolation and struggle of their daily lives and hope for the future. YoungLives mentors provide friendship, parenting advice and help meeting the practical demands of raising a child. Please email Tiffany at   to get involved.

Capernaum - Serve youth with mental and physical disabilities and give them the opportunity to have fun, make friends, develop self-esteem and begin a relationship with Jesus! Volunteers are needed to serve with weekly club meeting, special events and camp trips and helping these kids discover their ability to do new things and to be all God designed them to be.
