The vision of 9 Million Reasons is to eliminate hunger and homelessness in NYC. 9 Million Reasons seeks to serve the community primarily through breakfast and food pantry to meet food insecurities. Additionally, supports include ESL/GED, job training, clothing, immigration help, and community events.
Mission
With 9 million people living in this city, we can think of 9 million reasons to give back. In addition to food pantry, 9 Million Reasons brings resources to the Long Island City community through compassionate service.
How we support them
How We Serve Together
Located in the heart of Long Island City and in proximity to the largest New York City Housing Authority complex in NYC (Queensbridge), 9 Million Reasons has utilized volunteers to serve over 1800 meals a day, providing food to 275 pantries throughout NYC.
What We Help Fund
Through our partnership with His Toy Store, 9 Million Reasons distributed 3,000 toys to over 2000 families.
Why We Love Them
In 2023, 9 Million Reasons housed over 300 migrants and continue to serve thousands of migrants through their food and clothing distribution.
