About:
Peace by Piece is an independent thrift store and community center. We are donation-based and seek to provide high-quality and affordable clothing and housewares for the Bay Ridge community. Our proceeds are then used to run community programming. These programs include a monthly food distribution to give away 225 boxes of food as well as weekly ESL classes, art programs, and more. We want to change lives with a message of hope, love, and charity.

Peace by Piece exists to welcome and serve immigrants and newcomers and to see our community thrive together. We seek to partner with our neighbors to cultivate relationships, hospitality, and hope for our community.

Mobilizing Volunteers
Volunteers have the unique opportunity to be involved in serving and loving the community by distributing food, helping with store operations (pricing and sorting clothing), and engaging in community center activities. This support will help Peace by Piece thrive and make a difference in the lives of many immigrant and refugee families and individuals.

Training And Consulting
Long term growth includes replicating their thrift store model throughout NYC and developing their fundraising strategy. Staff have attended several HFNY learning labs including leadership development and strategic planning.
