Our First Summer Gathering for Young Professionals

At the end of August, we hosted our first Summer Gathering for Young Professionals!

We wanted to connect more with our young supporters, and many new and familiar faces came to our event at P.S. Kitchen, a vegan restaurant in Hell's Kitchen that employs men and women who need a second chance at life.

More than 50 young supporters came to meet each other and learn more about our work. Mary Beth, our Senior Manager of Volunteer Mobilization, encouraged our guests to volunteer and shared highlights of our work, which included a special food insecurity collaboration that was made possible by P.S. Kitchen!

Everyone was invited to taste delicious plant-based appetizers and drink our special purple-hued cocktail, aptly named, "When Life Gives You Lemons, HFNY Gives You Lemon-Aid." Because of the extra generosity of P.S. Kitchen we also raffled off two gift cards for a meal at the restaurant.

We love continuing to engage young professionals in our network and be a connector for them at both our church and affiliate partners!
