Our Partnership

Mobilizing Volunteers
Teams of HFNY volunteers serve rebuilding homes damaged by Superstorm Sandy through Habitat's Critical Home Repair Program & participate in neighborhood revitalization through the Brushes with Kindness Program.
Making Grants To Fund Programs
Our grant funding provides for building materials and supplies for the Critical Home Repair Program. Habitat will have repaired nearly 100 homes in Staten Island by Summer 2014.
Why We Love This Affiliate
Habitat's Critical Home Repair program serves families and communities by enabling families to return home, improving their quality of life, and re-establishing economic stability by helping them maintain their home as critical assets.

When I first started volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, I was an entrepreneur to a failed startup. Feeling depleted, I often felt that I wasn't in a place to give or serve in any capacity. However, in offering myself to be used by God, He has restored me while using me to bring restoration to others. I have come to understand that the burden doesn't lie on me to be strong enough, or skilled enough, or good enough - I can simply come as I am to be used by Him.
