Hillside Center equips and supports immigrant families in NYC through educational and professional development so they flourish in their community.

Conversation and encouragement are the foundations of building confidence for our budding English speakers.

Volunteers partner with students in speaking activities, basic conversations, and group games under the leadership of the head teacher.

• This is an opportunity to form friendships, learn from our community, and support our immigrant neighbors.
• Women’s classes are held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10am-11:30am and 11:30-1pm. 
• Men’s classes are held Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm.
