Reports To: Board Chairperson

Purpose:  

• To act as a voting member of the board with full authority and responsibility to develop policies, procedures, and regulations for the operation of this Ministry
• To monitor the non-profit’s financial health, programs and overall performance
• To provide the executive director with their resources to meet the needs of those we serve.

Individual Board Member’s Duties:

• Support the mission and doctrine of the ministry.
• Attend all board meetings and activities, including special events and board retreats.
• Become knowledgeable about the Ministry.
• Come to board meetings well-prepared and well-informed about issues on the agenda.
• Contribute to meetings by expressing your point of view.
• Consider others’ points of view, make constructive suggestions and help the board make decisions that benefit those the Ministry serves.
• Serve on at least one committee.
• Represent and market the Ministry of individuals, the public and other organizations.
• Support the Ministry through a personal financial contribution.
• Assume board leadership roles when asked.
• Participate in fundraising and ensure the Ministry has adequate funding for its programs.
