Experience Hope beyond the hustle

In New York City, time always feels scarce. It’s easy to rush past what—and who—matters most. Choosing to volunteer is choosing to pause, to notice, and to care.

When you give your time, neighbors feel seen; students meet mentors; families fill their pantries.

What feels small to you might be life-changing to someone else.
Because that’s how renewal happens—one kindness at a time.

What our volunteers are saying

There are many times when I hesitate to give up a chunk of my weekend to volunteer, and there are days when I am frankly not excited to show up to the volunteer event. However, I see how God is changing my heart of stone into a heart of flesh and how God has used me to serve others and share his goodness. I may not have started out with a heart that is joyful to serve, but he is getting me there over time.

I’ve learned about how organizations, churches, and individuals can come together to multiply their talents and gifts and ultimately expand their reach in NYC. I’m excited to be a part of this work of building and strengthening connections, particularly amongst other young professionals who want to make an impact in this city for God’s Kingdom.

Serving really "put into practice" what the Bible teaches about living richly toward God. It's very rewarding to witness how something as simple as serving a meal, lending a helping hand, or just showing kindness and compassion to our neighbors in need can really make a difference in their lives.
