All women are invited into a faith-based community committed to practicing hospitality, showing respect, and restoring hope.

Our Partnership

Mobilizing Volunteers
Volunteers are vital to the ongoing programming at the Women's Centers. Volunteers cook and serve meals, mentor in the Career Center, lead recreational group outings, teach sewing, knitting, and art classes, and lead special events.
Creativity From Our Volunteers
Our volunteers infuse additional love, warmth, and joy in the lives of the women at the Bowery. They also creatively work with staff to find new ways to build relationships with the women during their time of life transformation.
Making Grants To Fund Programs
Our funding covers costs for nutritious meals, career center materials and supplies, activities and outings including museum visits and cultural events, and supplies for sewing and knitting classes.

At the Women’s Center, I experienced the gentleness, the patience, the generosity, the kindness, and the love of God. It blew my mind. I saw how the beds weren’t just thrown together – they were made with brand new mattresses and sheets. I saw how people were giving up their Saturdays and Sundays to come and cook for us, or to take us to get our nails done, or to sit with us and just listen. That really blessed me.

For a third year, our 11 Team HFNY runners crossed the finish line at the 2023 TCS NYC Marathon on Sunday, November 5!
'Lord, I thank you that we will never run out of reasons to delight in you, that different seasons bring about different aspects of who you are and your character.'
At Hope for New York, we love our volunteers! You may not even know the different ways that our volunteers serve the poor and marginalized of our city, so here are just a few things our amazing volunteers have accomplished this past (fiscal) year.
