Hope for New York

Help Fill His Toy Store with 4000+ Toys This Year!

In 1995, Hope for New York created and launched its annual Christmas outreach “His Toy Store” to provide toys and gifts for families in need across New York City. In recent years, HFNY has worked with affiliates and church partners who provide space to host pop-up stores from Brooklyn to the Bronx. Each pop-up store is “owned” by a HFNY partner church, and is planned by a volunteer committee from that church.

Updated: HFNY Resource Card

Now that the temperature is dropping in New York City, please extend your thoughts to our many neighbors living on the streets.

Eight years ago, we created Resource Cards as a simple way for our supporters to engage with our homeless neighbors and offer them a list of available resources throughout the city. Our Resource Cards list affiliates with a boots-on-the-ground connection to our neighbors in need, providing various meals, pantries, clothing, medical and hygiene services, and more.

Affiliates currently listed on our Resource Cards include:

Announcing Our New Church Partner: Exilic Church

We love partnering with churches because we help with the spiritual formation of Christians across our city—connecting them with our affiliate opportunities and mobilizing them to serve those in need through volunteer programs. With every church partnership, we renew our vision of helping "all people experience spiritual, social, and economic flourishing through the demonstration of Christ’s love."

This fiscal year, we are proud to share that we have formed a new partnership with Exilic Church!

Why HFNY Sunday Motivates Churches to Serve Our City

Every year, HFNY hosts HFNY Sunday events and participates in Volunteer Fairs at our church partners. We asked our Church Partnerships team what encouraged them at the HFNY Sunday and Volunteer Fair events.
