About:
Mont Lawn City Camp (MLCC) is a faith-based mentoring and enrichment program for children in the South Bronx and East Harlem. City Camp helps children build resilience and thrive, equipping them to grow into adults who are spiritually grounded, economically self-sufficient, have healthy relationships and positively contribute to their communities.
Mission
Mont Lawn City Camp is a program of The Bowery Mission. Since the 1870s, The Bowery Mission has served generations of New Yorkers experiencing homelessness, hunger, and poverty. Our mission is to see lives transformed – delivering hope and healing through the power of Jesus Christ.

Our Partnership

Mobilizing Volunteers
Our volunteers support youth in their personal, social, and academic development by providing mentoring and tutoring for students.
Making Grants To Fund Programs
Our funding helps to support the MLCC's expansion of their mentoring programs, enrichment activities and field trips, retreats and leadership development opportunities for youth.
Training And Consulting
Our capacity building support has helped MLCC consider its outcomes metrics to monitor impact and effectiveness of their at-risk youth programs.

Mentoring with MLCC has been such a treat. To be honest, sometimes I wonder who's getting more out of it! My mentee has definitely brought a ray of sunshine to my life. And in turn, I’m someone she can go to that she can trust, someone she can talk to about whatever she needs.
