On Thursday, October 22, we hosted our annual Fall Benefit as a virtual experience!
Our evening was dedicated to the restoration and stabilization of our affiliates, plus their ongoing work of biblical mercy and justice in New York City. Here are the four big highlights of our evening:
This year, 470 generous donors and more than 600 incredible volunteers made His Toy Store a life-changing experience for families in need!
Hope for New York’s vision has remained the same today as it was over 20 years ago: to see our city and all the people in it experience spiritual, social, and economic flourishing through the demonstration of Christ’s love. To accomplish this vision, HFNY has also remained dedicated to its mission of mobilizing volunteer and financial resources to support non-profit organizations serving the poor and marginalized in New York City.
In 1995, Hope for New York created and launched its annual Christmas outreach “His Toy Store” to provide toys and gifts for families in need across New York City. In recent years, HFNY has worked with affiliates and church partners who provide space to host pop-up stores from Brooklyn to the Bronx. Each pop-up store is “owned” by a HFNY partner church, and is planned by a volunteer committee from that church.
At Hope for New York, we are constantly inspired by our affiliates and volunteers for the time they dedicate to serving our city in different ways.
