Virtual Fall Benefit 2020: The Four Biggest Moments

On Thursday, October 22, we hosted our annual Fall Benefit as a virtual experience!

Our evening was dedicated to the restoration and stabilization of our affiliates, plus their ongoing work of biblical mercy and justice in New York City. Here are the four big highlights of our evening:

How Hope for New York Is Strengthening Our City

Hope for New York’s vision has remained the same today as it was over 20 years ago: to see our city and all the people in it experience spiritual, social, and economic flourishing through the demonstration of Christ’s love. To accomplish this vision, HFNY has also remained dedicated to its mission of mobilizing volunteer and financial resources to support non-profit organizations serving the poor and marginalized in New York City.

Help Fill His Toy Store with 4000+ Toys This Year!

In 1995, Hope for New York created and launched its annual Christmas outreach “His Toy Store” to provide toys and gifts for families in need across New York City. In recent years, HFNY has worked with affiliates and church partners who provide space to host pop-up stores from Brooklyn to the Bronx. Each pop-up store is “owned” by a HFNY partner church, and is planned by a volunteer committee from that church.

How Micah 6:8 Inspires Us to Serve New York City

At Hope for New York's annual Fall Benefit, the inspiring night included affiliate stories from Stella Reed (Executive Director of Dream Center NYC), an encouraging talk on the verse Micah 6:8 by Dr. Michael Keller (Pastor of Redeemer Lincoln Square), and musical performances by Liz Vice and Mason Jar Music.
