Mission: Do For One is a relationship-building program that brings isolated people into greater community life. We selectively match one person with developmental disabilities with another person who enjoys a more socially included life.

Time commitment & expectations:
- Board members will four times per year. Three board meetings (two hours in duration and one half day leader's retreat in the springtime (usually April).
- Board time between those meetings doing any follow up work is anything between 2-8 hours per quarter between meetings.
- On average, a board member spends about 30-40 hours per year
- We do not require board members to become voluntary Advocates through our program, but we do expect that every board member desires to have regular interactions with those served by Do For One. This can be through becoming an Advocate, attending our community gatherings, having firsthand experience living with disabilities, or having a family member with disabilities.

We are looking for board members who share a deep belief in Do For One's core values, rooted in the Judeo-Christian values of the dignity of all human life, personal connection over institutional care, and voluntary community activism. Ideal candidates are reliable, communicative, and dedicated to investing their time, talent, and financial resources into the organization, while also being open to engaging in meaningful conversations around issues of faith and justice.
